inGame footage of various games. In the future I hope to add reviews. ^_^

This comparison grows more popular the longer it's repeated.

To quote a fictional german Nazi: "You really think we'd make a nigger our Führer!?"

The Obama/Hitler comparison is major bollocks.

And regarding town hall "protesters" comparing the health care reform to "something that could have origined in early 30's germany":

We evil germans got nationalized health care since 1883 courtesy of Fürst Otto von Bismarck.

IMO if someone has to resort to a 'hitler/nazi comparison' to argue against something, then what they're saying usually isn't worth taking seriously. There are a few rare exceptions, but generally hitler and nazi comparisons are horribly overused.

The way I see the term used by liberals the general rule seems to be the following:

Hitler: anyone the left disagrees with, Zionists

Not a Hitler: dictators with moustaches who gas people, anyone with actual Nazi connections, anyone who views Nazi war criminals as their heroes

There are a few rare exceptions

As in anything to do with George W. Bush.

And you guys do realize, don't you, that virtually all the documented Nazi-esque crap has come from Lyndon LaRouche Democrats?  And been falsely ascribed to 'rightwingers'?

Oh, good.  Whew.  I was afraid you weren't aware of that.

nah, Hitler is public domain now. Left and right use the h-bomb against each other freely.

That should be the left and the farther-left...

Well, let me, as a local right-winger (I suppose) tell you that comparing Obama with Hitler is utterly ridiculous. I will have none of it.

Anyone here from the left who wants to set things straight about George Bush?

There you go again - 'it's always the Democrats, never the Repulicans'. Also are you able to go just one day without trying to make up some words someone has never said, pretend like they've said it, and use it to 'argue' against them? Todays example:

"There are a few rare exceptions"

As in anything to do with George W. Bush.

Please link to where any of the posters in this thread have claimed George W Bush is like Hitler or Nazi-esque. The forums are littered with this sort of stuff aimed at Obama at the moment though - funny how you seem blind to it given your "That should be the left and the farther-left..." remark.

Nice try at a dodge.  But that's OK.

You are all nazis!!!

That's the spirit!

No, they don't realise that. They don't know anything about the history of American politics except that "Kennedy was an excellent president" and "Obama is a second kennedy/Lincoln/Washington". It's a very small world they live in.

They don't know that the Republicans are the party that fights wars to liberate slaves, that the Democrats were the party of segregation, that the Democrats have a KKK man in the senate and were the party of the KKK when it still existed as a real organisation, or that it was the Democrats who fought a series of ultimately useless wars against the communists.

When they think "fundamentalist Christian", they see politicians like George W. Bush (who spoke up against Creationism) and Dick Cheney (who spoke up for gay marriage), but they don't see Jimmy Carter.

When they think "Nazi", they see absolutely everyone except those who support fascist dictators who gas people.

They don't have to realise any of this because they are Europeans. And Europeans automatically know more about the world, history, and American politics than Americans do. I have used that very theory myself quite often, if you remember.

YES!

To be honest, those huge crowds worry me indeed.

Just as I thought, absolutely nothing to back up your feeble attempts at disinformation when they're challenged. As usual.

Nazis are famous for doing that!
