Just saw this:

Awesome! No more proof needed that he is Grand Cyclops of the Tinfoil Brigade.

Epic Seduction Fail. Try to read her thoughts of him on her face.

Glenn Beck screaming like a girl getting dumped by the Jonas Brothers. Starts at 3:38 for the preliminary screams but the epic yell comes at 3:52. It's really worth watching from the beginning.

Beck finally meets his master ... or rather mistress. Hard to believe but it's possible to outcrazy even him. Michele Bachmann's insane ramblings are too much even for Beck.

You assume he takes from these people their worst attributes to incorporate into his own persona and philosophy.

IF you thought they were a positive influence you wouldn't keep using words like Marxist. Truth be told, you or I don't know how they influence him at all.Or how he influences them?  And now you're assuming they agree on everything.

I made no statement to that effect, nor I have I assumed he takes their worst attributes and incorporates them into his persona, etc. Furthermore, I haven't, and don't, assume that they agree on everything, nor do I even think that they need to agree on everything. They are like-minded people, and have the same general aims. I don't think that's difficult to comprehend, and it shouldn't be considered an amazing leap in logic.

Were we supposed to just keep forking over the dough and let them continue like this?

They never should have been bailed out in the first place. They could have just gone bankrupt in the customary manner, but the intent all along was to seize the companies from the people that paid for and bought the shares, and the bondholders, and give it to their good friends, the UAW. That's Marxism at work.

You've completely missed the point of whose pensions went up in smoke. I'm talking about the bondholders in particular who were strong-armed into taking 20 cents on the dollar. Some of the debt was held by pension funds. Did you notice that in your list of figures that vast quantities were put into union pension funds? That, combined with their 55% stake in the company, gives the UAW a bed of roses compared to the shareholders and bondholders.

So, Po, do you support the government takeover of businesses? Is it just to take the paid-for private property, and give it to unions who don't actually pay for it?

I'll work with anybody, I'll fight anybody if it will push our issues forward. ... I'm willing to forgo the cheap satisfaction of the radical pose for the deep satisfaction of radical ends".

Po, I guess you missed the "radical ends" bit.

My favorite is One of 17 “Sexiest Men Living”; Salon.com . Karl must be rolling over in his grave.

I'm sure Beck was going to get to all of that. Sorry if I stepped on his toes.

Pretty thin list, isn't it? Since when is being on the New York Times bestseller list an award, anyway? One of the sexiest men living? That's embarassing. Left-wing organizations always award each other, anyway. Yasser Arafat won the Nobel Peace prize, the great global-warming hoaxer, Al Gore, who's made about 100 million dollars on a carbon-trading scam, won the Nobel prize as well.

but the intent all along was to seize the companies from the people that paid for and bought the shares, and the bondholders, and give it to their good friends, the UAW

I must have missed that. Can you show me where Obama  said that that was his intent all along? ALso the part where COngress and the Senate agreed to it, please.

They are like-minded people, and have the same general aims.
What are those 'aims'? Show me. You're implying things but bot following through. At least Beck gives his warped view on those aims. I have aims. They might be in line with theirs. We might be like minded. Am I to be cautioned against? Do you know my aims?  It's like your regurgitating Becks spineless crap.  SO they are ALL bombers and Marxists..once again? Are you a mind-reader?

Did you notice that in your list of figures that vast quantities were put into union pension funds?

Yes.  But I kept being drawn to the 20 billion dollar surplus that sank to a 12 billion dollar deficit in a year before Obama stepped in. Then the 11.3 billion due to investment losses. Then GM’s decision to cut company health care benefits for salaried retirees 65 or older, it increased pension benefits to retirees at a cost of $3.7 billion

Chrylser screwed this up. They came to the government and said 'help'. Congress and the Senate passed the bill. So, the man you refer to as 'scary fucking stupid' and 'Makes Bush look good' managed to concoct a scheme to steal Chrysler and give it away  and fool bouth houses.  I guess he was lucky Chrylser mismanaged their greedy asses right into his hands. The government, as in the collection of folks we elect and put into office..the same collection that voted on this..did what they felt is neccassary to keep Chrysler going. Do you have a problem supporting our democratic system and the way in which it works?

I've seen this all before. It was called 'Network' and it ended badly. After Beck bringing his shrink/friend on the show to go over all the 'names' he's been called in blogs this past week, I suspect his tale will end badly as well. He can dish it out, but he can't take it.

Po, I guess you missed the "radical ends" bit.

No. I didn't miss anything. DId you miss my question that asked 'What are you reading into it that I am not?"

Pretty thin list, isn't it?

Better than most. Better than mine. How does it compare to your list?

I made my own crack about sexiest man living. I'm not sure why you brought that one up again.  Unless there is a little envy going on or something. Pretty thin list? I mean..that's it? Pretty thin list. That 's...pretty thin.

you have the chemical makeup of someone who prefers structure and dislikes novelty. (Your Windowblind skins reflect this makeup, BTW).

Have you seen Outer Limits?

anyway, I think your overcomplicating things, I like to reduce to the ridiculous and I suppose the lowest common denominator for me is, being able to watch and listen to the likes of Bill Burton, Robert Gibbs, Rahm Emanuel etc and know, without any shadow of a douthat something is not right. I suppose it's the old can't bullshit a bullshitter. Its on both sides I know, politicians bullshit.. but, to me, this admin. and a LOT of the people that support and surround it seem extremely shady.

It's human nature to pickup on things that arent quite right, I dont need Fox, Beck to tell me.. to me it was quite apparent way back when Obama arrived on the scene.

Yeah, and it's totally structured (think of the color coordination, symmetry, etc) compared to my Mardi Gras Beads, which even if I HAD decent graphics skills at the time would be a mess in contrast to Outer Limits.

I guess my human nature must be messed up then, because I tend to think the best of most people until they've proved me wrong.  I get disappointed a lot, though.  I doubt there is a perfect candidate for me, because at my core I'm an anarchist, a radical, and all those other run-wild go-nuts words that nobody wants to attach to a politician, so no matter who becomes president, I'm going to be disappointed.  Fortunately the executive branch doesn't hold sole power in the United States, but is (allegedly) balanced out by the legislative and the judicial.

Now, I read your link and it  states that  Jim Jones was part of the groups but none of the bombings were ever attributed to him.

Your dismissal of this is disgusting, he's one of the founders for fucks sake.  I don't let a terrorist off for only helping to plan the terrorist activities.  If you form a terrorist group whos goals are publically stated to be retaliation against the republic for actions against other nations, I don't care whether you personally plant a bomb somewhere.  You're responsible for everything your organization does with your knowledge.

Never said it did, that's your assumption. I was just making an observation. Kinda like..uh...Beck.  30 million tune in for his observations, I thought I might get lucky. Funny though that if they truly don't negate his being a communist , why wouldn't Beck mention them?

If it's irrelevant, why would he mention it?  The axe murderer likes puppies!!!  Uh... right...

And his dissolving his ties from the communist group ...are you saying he's lying? That once a commie always a commie? I guess Arlen Specter is still a republican based on that.

What does leaving a group have to do with renouncing communism?  I can find no indications, even second hand, that he's anything but a full blown communist still.  That he had the brains to figure out running around with militant crazies that look like militant crazies wasn't going to get him anywhere simply means he at least has the intelligence of a gnat.  That he ever was with an organization like that simply means he doesn't have much more.  Specter can call himself whatever he wants to.  The title of republican is meaningless, he has never been anything but a progressive.

Why? I used the same source you did.

Yeah, but do your pages take thirty seconds to load?

Of course.  What is it that you are reading into it that I am not?

You type in complete sentences, how do you read that line without grasping something so obvious?  There is nothing there about a change in issues and consistencies.  He simply says that he'll work with others to get his goals accomplished.  That line is a direct admission that he still holds the same goals, he simply isn't a goddamned idiot about achieving them.

"Now, I put the issues and constituencies first. I'll work with anybody, I'll fight anybody if it will push our issues forward. ... I'm willing to forgo the cheap satisfaction of the radical pose for the deep satisfaction of radical ends"

I am curious as to what skulldugery radical ends you are attributing to him. I mean, I don't really know, would you please enlighten me.

on Aug 31, 2009

You're responsible for everything your organization does with your knowledge.

I ,missed the part that said he had knowledge of it before or after the fact. Where was that?

If it's irrelevant, why would he mention it?

It's called being objective and responsible. Unless he just wants to paint a one sided portrait of the man and lead people to what would be only one conclusion based on his 'lack; of information. But he seems to prefer to play it loose and let his listeners find a man guilty of something that no DA or court ever could.

What does leaving a group have to do with renouncing communism? I can find no indications, even second hand, that he's anything but a full blown communist still

Beck says the same stuff and never offers any proof. It's inflamatory shit. That's my whole problem with Beck/Beal.

Yeah, but do your pages take thirty seconds to load?

I'll bite. What the hell does that have to with anything?  Are we measuring authenticity or credibility on how fast a page loads? Is this a new Beckism?

That line is a direct admission that he still holds the same goals, he simply isn't a goddamned idiot about achieving them.

Yes. Like racial and economic justice, helping the enviroment, civil rights, and job training, support, and work experience for the people who need it.  What's your point?

on Aug 31, 2009

Is the thread messed up for you, too? Not the topic - the HTML.

After reply 106 everything is messed up.

Whatever you did, Island Dog, it didn't work.

Page is working fine, Arrodo...at least from here.

Yes. Like racial and economic justice, helping the enviroment, civil rights, and job training, support, and work experience for the people who need it. What's your point?

I guess those goals aren't worthwhile, Po'.

Just wanted to note how much I've enjoyed reading your responses. You've kept right on the bead. Sorry I haven't lent a hand, but you didn't seem to need it.
